Small Earth, a branding firm that concentrates its efforts on multi-cultural marketing and individuals seeking to establish their brand, was envisioned and conceived by award winning designer and photographer, Alvaro Montagna. Alvaro has a Visual Communications and Photography degree from Kean University where he has also taught as an adjunct professor. His Agency experience includes D.V.C and Coyne Communications, two top design agencies where he worked on such prestigious accounts as BMW, Land Rover, Mobil and AT&T.
Wanting to take a break from the agency life, Alvaro took on the creative director position at Gemini Sound Products, a global professional sound equipment company with offices in Spain, Germany, UK, France and the U.S. Alvaro re-branded the entire company from updating their corporate identity and establishing advertising campaigns, to standardizing tradeshow booths. After traveling the globe for four years pushing the Gemini brand, Alvaro wanted to take all of this experience and talent to a new level and in 2000 Habitat Visual Communications was born.
Started from the basement of his home, Habitat grew to a successful design agency with a client list such as Sesame Street, Best Western, Nickelodeon, FAO Schwartz, EA Sports, and Toys R Us to name a few. After ten years as President and Creative Director, Alvaro sold Habitat and began a new venture. That venture is Small Earth. In its first year of business, Small Earth has worked with personalities like Collin Abraham, HGTV star from the show Pollen Nation, CBS Broadcaster and renowned food critic, Bob Lape, award winning writer, Joanna Pruess, and Holistic doctor, Dr. Vincent Pedre.
Small Earth continues to flourish as it expands its web branding team and plans to open a new photography studio in Miami, Florida by 2012.
